The Verdier Circle of Friends, since 2005, has been a mainstay of support for the Leland Theatre program. Through the financial pledges of its members, the Verdier Circle of Friends (VCF) contributes to the production costs of elementary, middle and high school plays, the Comet Chorale and the maintenance of the Performing Arts Center. If you have enjoyed plays like How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Into the Woods, please consider joining the Verdier Circle of Friends.
Using the contributions from the loyal Verdier Circle of Friends, the Leland Theatre program has been financially sustained, allowing musical productions like HONK!, School House Rock, Seussical, Little Shop of Horrors, Annie, The Wiz, Oliver, Children of Eden, Millie, and Take the Sky to be performed. The financial support of the VCF has created opportunities for hundreds of students to experience professional quality theatre experiences while learning life skills like teamwork, creative thinking and problem solving-an incredible gift for Leland Public School.
Joining the Verdier Circle of Friends assures the continuance of this precious extra-curricular program that impacts so many. Each VCF member makes a pledge of $500 per year for 5 years. The generous support of the VCF goes beyond the monetary-providing students with a unique learning environment that purports the positive side effects of theatre participation like higher SAT scores, and improved attendance and reading comprehension (American Alliance for Theatre & Education).
Please consider continuing the generous legacy of the Verdier Circle of Friends by becoming a VCF member. For more information, please contact Leland Public School 231-256-9857 or Kathleen Lau, firstname.lastname@example.org
